The National Railway Museum in York, England, is the largest railway museum in the world, responsible for the conservation and interpretation of the British national collection of historically significant railway vehicles and other artefacts. The Museum contains an unrivalled collection of locomotives, rolling stock, railway equipment, documents and records. Entry is free!

The Jorvik Viking Centre. Discover what life was really like over 1000 years ago, meet our Viking residents, see over 800 items uncovered here, and journey through a reconstruction of actual Viking-Age streets.

Visit York Minster. Everyone is welcomed to this holy site where prayers have been offered to God for more than 1,000 years. The Minster is a glorious medieval architectural achievement with one of the finest collections of stained glass in existence.

Castle Howard is one of Britain's finest historic houses and is still home to my family whose forebears conceived, designed, and built it over three century.
